1. Sov structures = too much HP and nobody wants to grind through the timers + stations plus HP of the 3 reinforcement timers you have to wait for.
2. Supercaps.
3. Null has no perks or bonuses. After the sanctum nerf, all the "bears" found it easier and more rewarding to grind incursions or lvl4's in empire so they left.
Definitely mechanics dude.
So, we're bored and mad and gonna take it out on you.
Pretty much this. CCP should just remove isk payouts from missions/rats and be done with the whole "highsec vs. nullsec" income war. Make ISK what it should be: a currency used to buy stuff and exchange with other players. Rats can still make loot/salvage and give standings, and missions can still reward loyalty points, but EVE should be about controlling goods and resources, not money-trees.

Yeah, fine when you are deep but going in or out, the spiders be getting in ye hair from everywhere!
That's why the null chokes need to go. Once you get past them there's literally hundreds of empty systems people could settle in far from the power blocs to build their own empires---but the problem is, they all use the same pipes for empire access so while a big alliance may not care who lives at the highsec exit, they will care who's using their low-null pipe since it's literally their lifeline.
The map needs a rework, imo, less of a flower, more like the rings of a tree with high in the "core" and low and null as the outer layers. |

Pretty much this. The number of "dangerous" areas in low can be counted on one hand. Set them to your avoid list, fit some stabs on a fast ship, learn the cloak/mwd and have at it.

Xpaulusx wrote:Wanna see more players in Null? Then CCP needs to limit Alliance member sizes. Having huge ass 8000+ napfest Alliances in Null controlling huge amounts of space is game imbalance. Bust this up and give small alliance a chance to stake there claim and you'll see plenty of players come to null. Until this is done Null will remain as is regardless of SC nerfs and anything else. One of the main reasons this game is losing players. CCP you listening?
What are they going to do? Ban everyone who has more than X amount of friends? Back before guilds/clan tag features people grouped up in games just by editing their names with brackets. No chat channels, no special groups or features, just bracketed tags and everything was word of mouth or on third-party websites.
This generation is so mechanic-dependent and innovation blind it's just sad. |

PvP in EVE has always been designed around Land Grab Mode, that's the only goal supported by CCP. Land Grab Mode is taking other people's territory so you can farm to take more territory to farm until you have so much territory most of it isn't even being farmed anymore and squatters can hide out until someone notices large amounts of faction ships dying there. It's true for FW and it's true for null. Players choose to go play Open Team Deathmatch and Can Duel hoping to farm killmails and then get ganked and squall about a lack of PvP development but that's not what the Devs are working on anyway. |
